Chris completed both his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and his Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. Chris has experience with a wide variety of clients and patient populations. Chris has completed his intermediate level 3 with the Canadian Association of Manipulative Physical Therapy (CAMPT) and an accreditation to perform intramuscular stimulation (IMS).
Chris is currently involved with the Vancouver Whitecaps residency program and has vast experience with coaching, managing, and playing soccer and ice hockey at all levels. Chris has an interest in working with athletes in all capacities, from the weekend warriors and recreational athletes, to varsity and elite athletes. Chris’ treatment focuses on manual techniques, IMS, and rehabilitation through strengthening and exercise programs.
Chris is currently pursuing advanced training in his orthopaedic levels with the goal to become a fellow of the Canadian Association of Manipulative Physical Therapy (fCAMPT) and is building sports physiotherapy experience with the Vancouver Whitecaps residency program. He is also committed to keeping current with modern empirical evidence and continuing education in the orthopaedic and sports fields.
Chris’ hobbies and interests include playing all sorts of recreational team sports, most notably hockey and soccer, while he also has a love for cycling. Chris recently completed the Granfondo for the second year, raising money for the BC heart and lung association and showing his commitment to the community while pursuing a healthy, active lifestyle.
